Since its inception, eligibility criteria have widened to include those who:
- have been unemployed* for 6 months or more
- are over 21 years of age
*Unemployed - eligible categories include:
- unemployment assistance
- unemployment benefit
- one-parent family payment
- disability allowance
- disability benefit
- invalidity pension
- credits
- dependant spouse of any of the above
Participants will continue to receive:
- their social welfare entitlements & meal allowance
- a travel allowance, if living 3 miles or more from the Centre
A €31.80 per week bonus payment is paid to the above* (except those signing for credits & dependent spouses) if they have been in receipt of their payment for at least 1 year prior to joining VTOS.
