Overview

The Department of Justice, County Galway V.E.C. and FÃ?S jointly fund the project.
The aim of the Centre is to enhance the educational opportunities of the participants, thereby enabling progression to further education and employment.

Overview of Service / Programmes & Certification Offered:

The T.C.T.C. project was established in 1987 following a survey, which highlighted the connection between those who are educationally disadvantaged and those who are excluded from employment opportunities. The aim of the Centre is to foster the personal development of participants thus enabling them to avail of opportunities in open employment, of further formal training and education.

The Department of Justice, County Galway V.E.C. and FÃ?S jointly fund the project.
As well as the subjects outlined above the Centre also offers Heavy Plant & Machinery Course, Safe Pass, Manual Handling and Abrasive Wheels. Counselling Services, Career Guidance, Preparation for Work C.V.s and job placement are provided by the Linkage Programme.

Co. Galway V.E.C. provides tuition hours in a number of subjects.

Participants wishing to return to second chance Education/Training.

  • Fully equipped modern Centre, using the latest technology and training methods.
  • Staffed by trained, experienced V.E.C. teachers and instructors.
