Target Group:
The Centre mainly caters for the educational needs of the traveller community in the environs of Ballinasloe. While this may be the focus group the door is open to anyone in the area seeking a second chance education.
Courses Offered:
- Fetac Level3 and 4
- Fetac level 5 in Childcare and Community Care
- Leaving Certificate Applied
The centre also offers courses to their learners on the following:
- Health Education
- Driving Theory test
- Computers at all levels
Night Classes:
The centre opens for night classes during the Autumn and Spring months. The following courses are offered:
- Sign Language
- Computers
- Interior Design
- English
- Irish
Other courses can be provided on request.
B.T.E.I
The Centre is offering a B.T.E.I course in Engineering Workshop Practices.
Proposed B.T.E.I programmes for 2007 include:
- Tourism Skills
- Woodcraft
- Enterprise Skills
